Palomazo Norteno Las Vegas Concert reviews
My first, and probably only Kentucky Derby
I wanted to say I did, just to experience the most famous horse race in the world, but I'm not a huge horse racing fan or a gambler. I've been to Churchill Downs a few times for visits and tours, beautiful facility, and an excellent museum, no doubt. Derby Day this year had miserable weather, no control over that, and that's fine. After the race, I had to wait a 1-hour wagering windows to get my winnings. There were lots and lots of windows, but an awful lot of people collecting their money. What was not understandable, was having to wait in a line for 2 hours out in the parking lot to get back on a shuttle bus which I paid for to get back to my car parked at the Expo Center. I'm downright unacceptable, more than a patient person, but 2 hours. I actually contemplated walking, just to try and free up the cramping in my back and legs from standing all day. There seemed to be no workers out there providing any guidance as to which line you needed to be in, at least not unless you went hunting for them. They needed to have workers out there with bullhorns or something, just to direct people where they needed to be, people appeared to be just walking aimlessly every which way. For an event that just held its 143rd running, I guess I just expected a lot better planning with something that shouldn't be so difficult that patrons have to wait in a line for 2 hours.
